AES completely replaced the existing systems with the new Telligence IP solutions.
A new hospital was built in 1991 and presently accommodates the community’s medical needs and houses many of the Sun Country Health Region programs such as Home Care, Public and Mental Health. Our Mission: "To Provide People with the Highest Quality of Holistic Care" – Our Vision: "A Welcoming and Healing Place".
After serving the facility well for 20 years it was time to retrofit the original Dukane nursecall system. The new system needed to provide facility wide communications, assignable nursecall, priority coverage, and flexible stations for the 100 bed hospital, long term care beds, and out-patient areas. The system had to be retrofit with minimal disruption to daily operations. Cost was a major issue.
AES completely replaced the existing systems with the new Telligence IP solution. The systems network was extended throughout the facility, facilitating the deployment of various station types and integrating wanderer security. All existing paging, access control, and intercom systems were kept fully operational. An AES supplied temporary wireless nursecall system helped to take the strain off nursing staff during the retrofit. First-line trouble-shooting and maintenance training were provided by AES. The retrofit to Telligence was very clean and proceeded in an organized and timely manner. The Manager of Maintenance and Engineering stated that the new Telligence system; “Is working excellent, is a very solid system and has a good installation to back it.” Maintenance staff have also reported the new systems draw considerably lower power, reducing UPS cost and power bills.
AES has provided several integrated systems to other SCHR facilities including Tatagwa View Weyburn, Weyburn Hospital, Oxbow Health Centre, and Moose Mountain Lodge, Carlyle.
