AES delivered complete integreted facility systems for an efficient and reliable healthcare solution.
The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is located in north central Saskatchewan. With a population of about 80,000, it is the third-largest of the province's health authorities, and provides a range of specialty services to neighbouring regions. The new facility includes hospital, long term care, and community based services including home care and public health.
Building a completely new facility gives us the chance to deploy the latest in proven technology with a fresh start. The systems should include scalability, simplified management, reliability, and a low total cost of ownership. Staff input must be considered in ensuring usability.
Working with the health region, architect, and consultants. AES assisted with planning and design, and is currently preparing to commission the facility’s systems. This includes the Ascom Telligence VoIP nursecall with available work flow capabilities and wireless telephone integration, resident wandering security, facility security, video surveillance, overhead paging, and TV media distribution. AES has worked with the region on systems for a number of facilities including Prince Albert, Spiritwood, Melfort, Carrot River, and Big River.
